Thinking situationally, I took a prompt from my everyday digital life; my screen-time. Adopting digital tactics of scrolling, status updates, I recreated my screen-time in analogue format by drawing binary code on a paper scroll. The 9 hours and 23 minutes are documented through the use of self-surveillance, incorporating interactive, time-stamped status update buttons into the work. The work compresses the duration of the process into a perpetual, interactive present. The procedures undertaken in this work were then distilled and diagrammed as a way to put forward a new physical/digital feedback loop method of spatial practice, enabling contribution to interior design pedagogy.
